Veneers in East Houston

If you're in the Houston area and looking to upgrade your smile, veneers could be the perfect solution. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells designed to cover the front surface of your teeth. Made from porcelain or resin composite materials, veneers are bonded to your teeth to enhance their appearance. They can be used to fix a range of dental issues, including discolored, worn down, chipped, broken, uneven, irregularly shaped teeth, or gaps. Veneers offer a natural tooth appearance and are stain resistant, providing a long-lasting, brilliant smile.

The Benefits Of Veneers

Instantly Improve Your Smile

Veneers can dramatically transform your smile in just a couple of visits. They are custom made to fit perfectly and match the color of your natural teeth, providing an immediate enhancement to your appearance. With veneers, you can confidently show off your smile knowing it looks its very best.

Minimally Invasive Procedure

Unlike other dental procedures, getting veneers is a minimally invasive process. Only a small amount of enamel is removed from your teeth to make room for the veneers. This means less discomfort for you and a quicker recovery time.

Long-Lasting Solution

With proper care, veneers can last up to 15 years or even longer. They are made from durable materials that can withstand daily wear and tear. Plus, they are resistant to stains, so your smile will stay bright and beautiful for years to come.

The Veneers Treatment Process

Consultation and Treatment Planning

The first step in getting veneers is a consultation with Dr. Andrew Goldsmith. During this visit, he will examine your teeth, discuss your aesthetic goals, and create a personalized treatment plan. He may also take X-rays or make impressions of your mouth and teeth.

Preparation

During your next visit, Dr. Goldsmith will prepare your teeth for the veneers. He will remove about half a millimeter of enamel from the tooth surface, which is nearly equal to the thickness of the veneer to be added. Next, he will make a model or impression of your tooth, which is sent to a dental laboratory to construct your veneer.

Bonding

Once your veneers are ready, Dr. Goldsmith will temporarily place them on your teeth to examine their fit and color, repeatedly removing and trimming them to achieve the proper fit; he will then adjust the color as necessary. Once everything is perfect, your teeth will be cleaned, polished, and etched to allow for a strong bonding process. A special cement is applied to the veneer, which is then placed on your tooth. Once properly positioned, Dr. Goldsmith will apply a special light to the dental veneer, activating chemicals in the cement causing it to harden quickly. The final steps involve removing any excess cement, checking your bite, and making any final adjustments needed.
